Tacoma Golf Association Senior City Amateur 2022

TGA presents the Clarence Taylor Tacoma Senior & Super Senior City Amateur Championship.

The event will consist of a 36 holes gross and net play competition. The lowest gross score in the Senior & Super Senior divisions will be respective Senior City Amateur Champions. Gross and net competition will be held in both age divisions.

GHIN Handicap index as of July 1st will be used for net considerations. Players age 50 thru 69 will be in the Senior Division and the Super Senior Division will be ages 70 and up.

Competition will be conducted under USGA Rules. Distance measuring devices will be allowed during this competition. Please note that devices that measure anything other than distance are prohibited.  This includes, but is not limited to terrain, wind, club recommendations and calculating effecive playing distance. The penalty for using such devices is disqualification.

All prizes will be in the form of gift certificates, redeemable at ProGolf Discount. Tee times at Madrona will start at 8:00 AM and will be available at the hosting clubs 24 hours prior to play date.  The round at Linden CC will be shotgun start at 8:00

Alternative Sign-Up:  If you do not wish to sign up online (below), go to the Special Events page and select PDF Entry Forms for that tournament.  Fill in the PDF form, print and mail, along with a check to TGA.  Mail to address on entry form.

ENTRY FEE $120.00

Entry must be postmarked by July 1, 2022.

Entry fee includes Tee Prize, Green Fees, Prize Fund and Lunch ($10.00 ticket) after round #2.

The entry form will go to PayPal for payment.  It will also go to the tournament committee as paid entry to indicate your desire to enter the tournament.

You will receive an email confirming tournament entry from TGA as well as a separate email from PayPal confirming payment.

  • If the form does not go to the PayPal page, only the entry information is sent.  
  • If you do not have a PayPal account, you can use a credit card or use the PDF entry form as noted above this link. 
  • Entry forms without payment will be noted but are not valid until some form of payment has been made. 
  • If you submitted a form without payment and wish to pay (within the acceptance period), just re-submit form. 
  • Duplicate entries will be reconciled.
  • You will get an email confirming the entry each time you send.
  • When paid to PayPal, You will get an email confirming the PayPal payment.  Transition to the PayPal page takes several seconds.
